| Sorry Mary
All I wanted was to have my own family
And I thought that I was finally ready
When they told me they planned it all out
Your picture erased all my doubt
I was really on my way to get married
That morning I found myself hurried
Had to get you the perfect gift
Didn’t know the world would shift (now)
Chorus:
Sorry Mary
I left you at the altar now I can’t stop thinking of you
Sorry Mary
I thought that you were dead now I’m thinking that the curse
is true
I was, racing to be there
So I, could show you that I cared
Went to your house but I failed
You were hanging from your long white veil
Soon after my arms were broken
Something evil in my life had awoken
You give me pain each day
How can I live life this way?
Bridge:
My good intentions have sent me to hell
Time was just not on my side
Years later and I’m living in this hell
Oh the stories that my nightmares could tell
Forgive me Mary, hear my cry
Why don’t you just let me die!
Chorus:
Sorry Mary
I left you at the altar now I can’t stop thinking of you
Sorry Mary
I thought that you were dead now I’m thinking that the curse
is true

The Story...
Following the song Mary Whispers, this is our own
fictional continuation of the Mary Rutherford story.
We wondered what happened to the guy who was supposed to get married
on that fateful day? What was he doing? Is is safe to assume that
Mary would have haunted him all his life for leaving her at the
altar?
This song was peppered with a little
bit of punk. Marcy tried to get Giasone to sing the song faster,
but it was just not possible. Brett Savory on drums assured that
he could definitely go faster if needed. Maybe next time, Brett.
Marcy's favourite line is "Why don’t you just let me
die!"
