He is Greg Lamberson
This is the page where the author writes about himself in the third person, even though everyone who reads this glorious tribute to his amazing talent knows he wrote it himself. Gregory Lamberson snickers at authors who use phrases like “critically acclaimed” to describe themselves. He feels these authors take themselves far too seriously. Anyway:
Gregory Lamberson is an author and a filmmaker who specializes in horror entertainment. He does not self publish and he does not self distribute; he works with actual publishers and distributors who pay him to do what he loves.
For many years, Gregory was best known for making the midnight movie cult classic Slime City. He also created Undying Love and Naked Fear; all three films are available on the two-disc DVD Greg Lamberson’s Slime City Grindhouse Collection, available from Alternative Cinema. In 2010, Media Blasters released Slime City Massacre. Gregory recently produced Snow Shark: Ancient Snow Beast for writer-director Sam Qualiana; he worked as the line producer and 1st Assistant Director on Model Hunger, Debbie Rochon’s directorial debut; and he was the 1st AD on the werewolf film Ward’s Island. Gregory also worked as Production Manager on I Was a Teenage Zombie; Assistant Director on Plutonium Baby and Frank Henenlotter’s Brain Damage; and Associate Producer and Assistant Director on West New York.
These days, Gregory works primarily as an author, with two ongoing series: The Jake Helman Files (Personal Demons, Desperate Souls, Cosmic Forces, Tortured Spirits and upcoming Storm Demon) and the werewolf chronology The Frenzy Cycle (The Frenzy Way and The Frenzy War). He is also the author of Johnny Gruesome; the zombie novella Carnage Road; and the nonfiction book Cheap Scares: Low Budget Horror Filmmakers Share Their Secrets. In 2013, Medallion Media Group will release The Julian Year, the first book to utilize a revolutionary new e-book platform called TREEbook (Timed Reading Experience E-book).
Gregory is a two-time winner of the IPPY Gold Medal for Horror; a three-time Bram Stoker Award finalist; winner of Dark Scribe Press’ “Best Small Press Chill” Award; and winner of the Anubis Award for Horror. Slime City Massacre won Biggest Baddest Mother of the PollyGrind and Best Actor for Kealan Patrick Burke at the PollyGrind Film Festival; Best Actress for Debbie Rochon at the Eerie Horror Film Festival; Best Scream Queen for Brooke Lewis at the B-Movie Awards; and Best Sequel or Remake at the Polished Apple Awards. An on-line comic book adaptation of Johnny Gruesome won Best Comic Book at the New York City Horror Film Festival. Gregory also received a special award from the Buffalo-Niagara Film Commission for his contributions to filmmaking in Western New York.
